Fixed Denture

Any artificial tooth/teeth screwed or cemented on a pre-existing structure is a fixed dental prosthesis. Those supporting structures can be implants, roots or teeth previously prepared. The extension of the prosthesis depends on the number of teeth that are missing.

New teeth are made of porcelain, matching the color determined through natural teeth still present in the mouth. In a complete toothless situation, color is chosen between dentist and patient always considering his expectations.

Porcelain teeth are truly resistant to fractures and abrasion. Also they proof to be color consistent through many years. As their counterpart, the natural, they can stain superficially but will be easily cleaned by the dentist. These have a clear advantage over natural teeth. Because they are made of ceramic tooth decay is no more considered.
